Holy Family University
A Status Report of Strategic Planning
Fall 2011
Members of the University Community:
As a community, we continue our work toward accomplishments in support of the 2011-2014 Strategic Plan and the plan’s four themes: embracing our mission, striving for distinction, enhancing our living and learning environment, and building financial strength.
To that end, this fall the Strategic Planning Stewardship Team will focus on implementing an integrated strategic planning and performance management system, known as the Balanced Scorecard, that will sustain a strategically balanced process. The Balanced Scorecard approach will:
- communicate our vision, mission, and strategy to the internal and external community;
- align day-to-day work to vision and strategy;
- provide a framework for prioritizing programs and projects; and
- use strategic performance measures and targets to measure progress.
This approach will also allow for continued collaboration among strategic planning, the Middle States self-study process, and the branding initiatives that are currently under way.
Over the last decade, Holy Family has evolved into a university, added new
programs and additional sites, and is experiencing exciting growth in campus
life. Holy Family University’s strategic planning process builds
upon our historic Mission and Core Values, and we recognize that the key to
the University’s future is a sustained focus on and a community-wide
commitment to the core actions of our Plan.
Best wishes for a successful semester.
