In addition to the general admission requirements previously outlined, applicants must meet the following requirements for admission to the programs in the School of Education:
Applicants whose undergraduate GPA is lower than a 3.0 must submit scores from the Millers Analogies Test (MAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) to be considered for full admission to programs in the School of Education.
As required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education applicants seeking initial certification as post-baccalaureate students must present the following documentation to the Field Placement Office (ETC 441 or ETC 442):
Provisional or Probationary Students–Applicants may be admitted to a graduate program at the University on provisional or probationary status. Students admitted on a probational status with less than a 3.0 GPA must complete 12 credits of graduate level coursework, and have maintained at least of 3.0 GPA to gain full admission.
