EDEC 301 Literacy Instruction for Young Learners – Part II
3 credits
Prerequisites: EDEC 101 and EDEC 102
Students build on their experiences in previous coursework and explore literacy instruction for children in grades three and four. Course includes an in-depth study of guided reading, literature circles, comprehension strategies, the writing process, word study, and content area reading and writing. Students examine assessment procedures. Use of technology is integrated.
