EDSP 402 Management Strategies for Special Educators
3 credits
Prerequisite: EDSP 302
Course is based on the premise that proactive management is most effective. Building on the foundation laid in classroom management, this course examines strategies for goal-setting, self-monitoring, and contracting. Investigations are made of the theoretical and practical implications of those strategies often used in programs for students with learning, behavioral, and emotional support needs. Basis for course competencies is the CEC Common Core of Knowledge and Skills Essential for All Beginning Education Teachers (1992).
