NUR 401/401L Community Health I: Basis for Practice
3 credits
Prerequisite: NUR 352, NUR 356
Two and one half hours classroom and five and one half hours clinical per week.
The components of nursing and aggregate based care in the community setting are emphasized. Focus is placed on healthy adaptation, health promotion and disease prevention. Policy, political process and subsequent changes in health care are explored. Concurrent clinical experiences in the community setting facilitate application of course content.
