NURS 436 Psychiatric Nursing in the Middle Years

Prerequisites: All 300 level NURS courses
Corequisites: NURS 438 and NURS 354
Diverse theories, psychobiological concepts, and epidemiological principles are presented as students learn to provide holistic psychiatric nursing care. The "therapeutic use of self" is emphasized in the application of the nursing process. Concurrent clinical experiences integrating theory, research, and critical thinking skills facilitate students’ professional role development.
