SPMM 420 Legal Issues in Sport
3 credits
Prerequisite: BUSA 320 or permission of the School Dean or designee.
This course focuses on personal and institutional liability in sports. It includes tort liability in sport programs, coaching, transportation, facilities and equipment. The legal duties of coaches and the fundamentals of a sport risk management are included. Laws that pertain to Title IX and physically disadvantaged are covered.
