Administrative Assistant
Jennifer Conception

Hello, my name is Jennifer Concepcion. I graduated from Nazareth Academy High School in 2008. I transferred to Holy Family in the fall semester of 2010 and am majoring in Psychology. I began working in the CAE as a Spanish and Psychology tutor. I am now working as the Administrative Assistant. I enjoy my work at the CAE and all the people whom I meet. One day, I hope to form my own organization to help those who suffer from mental illness and substance abuse. Because of the great leadership opportunity that I have received at the CAE, I know many of the skills I have learned here will help make my dream come true and be successful. If you come into the Center, feel free to ask me any questions you may have!

Meet Our Peer Tutors

Katie Blumenstock
I graduated from Bensalem High School in 2008 and am currently majoring in Secondary Education for Mathematics.  I was one of the lucky ones who found Math very easy.  During grade school and high school, I was always the person my friends came to when they need help with Math. My goal as a tutor at the CAE, and eventually as a teacher, is to allow my students or tutees to understand topics they thought they never could.  As well as tutoring at the CAE, I am also the Vice President of the Pigers, which is Holy Family’s Math Club, a 1st year mentor, and an active member of the Alternative Spring Break Trip.  Out side of school, I am also involved in my community by volunteering as the coach for the Bucks County Bears 5 and 6 year old cheerleading team.

Carly Cofer
I graduated from Harry S. Truman in 2004. I went to Tri-State University in Indiana for a year but felt it was not a good fit for me. I moved back to the wonderful state of Pennsylvania and began attending Bucks County Community College. I graduated from BCCC in 2009 with dual Associate Degrees in Mathematics and Mathematics Education. I transferred to Holy Family University last year to pursue my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. Typically, I have found that mathematics and I are compatible, though I have always worked hard for my grades. During my time at Holy Family I have encountered some challenges in my highest level mathematics classes. I have had to be tutored myself, so I understand how complex mathematics can be. I want anyone reading this to know that asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength. It takes a strong person to admit they need assistance and an even stronger person to ask for it.

Rachel Dillinger
Hi! I graduated from Phoenixville Area High School in 2010, and am a member of the soccer and track & field teams here at Holy Family. Athletics is a huge part of my life, but I also devote a lot of time to academics. I'm a Psychobiology major with Chemistry minor. I obviously like science, but I also know that it can be a very daunting subject. I love helping other people understand it better and excel in their classes. Feel free to schedule an appointment with me or one of the other awesome CAE science tutors!

Kellie Gadaleta
I graduated from Villa Joseph Marie High School in 2008. I spent some of my best years at Villa and made amazing and lifelong friends. I began my college experience at Elizabethtown College in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Then, in the spring of 2010, I decided to transfer to Holy Family. I am majoring in English for Secondary Education, and would love to teach American literature to high school students. I am a reading/writing tutor at the CAE, and it would be my pleasure to help you with any critical reading and writing woes you may have. I am here to help you with questions and concerns, and it is my goal to bring out the best writer you can be! I love to read, write, and listen to any kind of music. My favorite book is Gone with the Wind, by Margaret Mitchell, but I also love Harry Potter! Please feel free to stop by the CAE to make an appointment with me ~~ I will do my best to help ease your writing worries!

Crystal Isaac
I graduated from Nazareth Academy High School in 2010. I am pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry. I am a member of the University Environmental Club, S.A.Y.S., as well as the Fusion and Albertans Clubs. In addition to my passion for the sciences, I love the Spanish language, and so I tutor both Chemistry and Spanish in the Center for Academic Enhancement [CAE]. When I was in high school, I was a tutor for the National Honor Society – an experience that was fulfilling and which prepared me for my experiences at the CAE.

Anthony Ivanoski
Upon graduating from Archbishop Ryan High School in 2008, I wanted to become a professional film director/screenwriter, once I obtained my degree from New York University in 2012. However, while tutoring in a middle school in New York, New York, I discovered that my vocation actually lay in mathematics education. Now at Holy Family University, I’m majoring in Secondary Education, Mathematics, and have been given the opportunity to tutor mathematics at the Center for Academic Enhancement (CAE). The great thing about tutoring is that it not only gives me the opportunity to help my fellow students in their studies, but also exposes me to new teaching strategies and a diverse group of individuals. With that, I ask anyone who struggles with academic studies or simply needs an extra hand brushing up on course material to please come to the CAE. No individual knows everything, but we can help each other in our pursuits to achieve anything.

Allison Jenkins
I graduated from Interboro High School in 2010. My high school experience was amazing and really prepared me for a university level education. I began my college experience at Holy Family last year, beginning as a sophomore because of the number of credits I gained from AP courses in my high school studies. I am majoring in English Literature, and I hope to go on to study education as a graduate. Because I love reading and writing so much, I am currently employed as a writing tutor at the Center for Academic Enhancement. My passions in life are learning and teaching, so I think that peer tutoring is an excellent way to help out the university community while also preparing me for the work I hope to do in the future. My favorite book is Slaughterhouse Five, by Kurt Vonnegut (though anything by Ernest Hemingway or JK Rowling will elicit a major conversation from me), and my favorite poem is “Song of Myself,” by Walt Whitman (though I enjoy his collection of poems "Leaves of Grass" in its entirety). Please feel free to come in and make an appointment at any time with me! I love meeting new people and I'm always here to help!

William Kane
I graduated from Archbishop Ryan High School in 2009, and I am currently a Mathematics/ Secondary Education major.  I've been gifted with a number of very exceptional math teachers over the years and feel that I am rather talented in the field of mathematics.  I've always also been intrigued by English language and literature, and so I tutor in both areas, although math is my primary discipline.  Education is integral to my studies and career goals, and so I consider tutoring to be my first step on the path to becoming a teacher.  Outside of academics, I am a member of an up-and-coming acoustic rock band.  Please, do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you need help; I am always willing to lend a hand, even if it's off the clock!

Chelsea Keeghan
Hello all, I'm Chelsea Keegan! In 2010, I graduated from Colonel Crawford High School, located in the small town of North Robinson, Ohio. I am currently in pursuit of my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, at Holy Family University. Following this, I plan to attend graduate school for physical therapy. I play volleyball and run track for the Tigers, as well as involve myself in Albertans Club, Mission Team, and Freshman Experience, where I am a student mentor. I tutor Biology and look forward to helping as many individuals as I can with their studies!

Jillian Keeve
Mathematics and athletics have always been passions of mine. In 2008, I graduated from Lyons Township High, located in a suburb of Chicago; I knew then that math would become a focal point in my professional career. Now,I am at Holy Family with the intent of graduating with a Secondary Education, Mathematics degree. I continue to pursue another passion, volleyball. My involvement with the University also includes holding the position of Vice President on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee and Treasurer in PIgers – the math club. In addition, I am continuing to enhance my language studies. I would love to help you out in any of your math and Spanish needs --- these are the subjects that I tutor. I believe that peer tutors should be both encouraging and insightful, ready to assist students in reaching their full potential. Working with others has always been a desire of mine, and I would love to help you make a connection with the difficult material from class. So please, help me to help you!

Erin O'Neil
I graduated from Villa Joseph Marie High School in 2010. I am currently majoring in English at Holy Family. I’m treasurer of the University Drama Club, and I’m also involved with Folio, Holy Family’s literary magazine. As a writing tutor, it is my goal to help you with any questions concerning papers, essays, or maybe a confusing homework question. Papers and other writing assignments can get stressful, especially at the college level, so I’m here to put your mind at ease and leave you with some confidence for the future. I look forward to meeting with you!

Sally Salayta
I am working at the CAE with students who need help with ESL studies. I'm an international student coming from two completely different backgrounds: Jordanian and Bulgarian. Therefore, I know the struggles that bilingual and trilingual students have to go through when they’re compelled to use all languages equally on a daily basis. It does require a lot of mental control. Even to those of you who do not have trouble communicating, there still is the great hurdle: to expect the same level of competence for all spoken languages. It's just so hard to keep all that vocabulary in there! But I'm confident that with a little bit of practice we can learn to utilize correctly any given word and, therefore, overcome any difficulties. So please do not hesitate to come to see me at the CAE; there is so much we can learn from each other!

Rachel Windish
Hi, my name is Rachel, and I graduated from Truman High School in 2004. I am currently majoring in Psychobiology at Holy Family. I decided to pursue my degree in Psychobiology because it blends the two disciplines I am most passionate about: biology and psychology. It is because of my fondness for both biology and psychology that I am also an active member of the Albertan’s Science Club, as well as the current Co-President for the Social Behavioral Science Club here on campus. I joined the CAE as a tutor in biology, because I wanted to share my passion for the discipline with other students and attempt to help others understand the importance of how and why biology works. I believe anyone can memorize facts and data, but a great student always asks why this information is important, and I am here to help answer those questions for the students who ask.

Jamie Wright
I graduated from Pennsbury High school in 2009- home of the best prom in America! Some of my fondest High School memories include being Overall Sports Nite Captain, Varsity Girls Bowling Captain, and of course, Prom!! I am currently a Nursing major at Holy Family. Along with working as a Spanish tutor at the Center for Academic Enhancement, I am a student ambassador for the Admissions Office. As a Spanish tutor, I understand learning a new language is challenging- it is for everybody! Learning Spanish (or any language) has endless benefits that can help your career and personal development. After traveling to Costa Rica in the summer of 2008, I realized how rewarding and satisfying it is to communicate effectively with native Spanish speakers! Please don’t hesitate to come to the CAE, even if you have one question! Transitioning into college studies can be tough, but we’re here to help!
