Academic Attire

Caps and gowns can be picked up in the Holy Family University Bookstore starting Monday, April 21. The Bookstore is open Monday – Thursday from 9 am - 6 pm, and Friday from 9 am - 4 pm. Caps and gowns will be available during regular business hours throughout the semester. Caps and gowns will not be available at the Kimmel Center on May 23.

Attire Graduates should pick up attire as early as possible to assure proper fitting. Non-standard sizes will need to be special ordered and will take up to two weeks for delivery. Questions about caps and gowns should be addressed to the manager of the Bookstore at (215) 632-8480.

All graduates participating in the commencement ceremony must wear full academic attire: cap with tassel, gown, and hood. Only honor cords and academic medals that are officially issued by the University are permissible. It is extremely important to pick up attire as soon as possible.

For the convenience of graduates from the Division of Extended Learning, the Bookstore management will distribute academic attire and sell diploma frames and other graduation items at Holy Family—Woodhaven on May 12, 13, 14 and 15 from 5 to 7 pm.

The Bookstore will have special business hours during the week of May 19 to accommodate those students who have not picked up their cap, gown, and hood. Bookstore hours for the week of May 19 will be 9 am - 7 pm from Monday through Thursday.

For the convenience of degree candidates who attend classes at the Holy Family—Newtown, the Bookstore management will distribute academic attire and other graduation related items at the Newtown Campus on May 19 and 20 from 4 to 7 pm.
