Tickets

Graduate degree recipients will be given a maximum of FIVE (5) guest tickets for the 9:30 am morning ceremony at the Kimmel Center. Graduates should only reserve the number of guest tickets actually needed. Unused tickets means that another graduate who requested additional tickets cannot be accommodated.

Undergraduate degree recipients will be given a maximum of FOUR (4) guest tickets for the 12:30 pm afternoon ceremony at the Kimmel Center. Students should only reserve the number of tickets actually needed. Unused tickets means that another graduate who requested additional tickets cannot be accommodated.

Every guest must have a reserved seat ticket to gain entrance into Verizon Hall. Infants and toddlers who will sit on the lap of a responsible adult for the entire ceremony do not need a ticket. Children who will sit in a reserved seat must have a ticket.

Both the graduate and the undergraduate ceremonies will be broadcast live back to the ETC auditorium. Ticket requests for seats in the ETC auditorium should be made at the time that ticket orders are placed for guest seating in Verizon Hall of the Kimmel Center.

Northeast Philadelphia Campus Remote Site Tickets. A limited number of tickets are available for viewing the commencement ceremonies live in the auditorium of the Perzel Education & Technology Center (ETC) on Holy Family’s Northeast Philadelphia Campus. If a student cannot pick up tickets in person, another person may pick the guest tickets up but this person must present a signed letter of authorization from the graduate. Lost or stolen tickets to the Kimmel Center commencement cannot be replaced.

ETC remote site tickets on the Northeast Philadelphia Campus are limited to FIVE (5) for each graduate. Seating capacity in the ETC auditorium is limited. Guests viewing the ceremony from the ETC should arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony begins. The graduate degree morning ceremony begins at 9:30 am, and the afternoon undergraduate degree ceremony begins at 12:30 pm.

In early April, all undergraduate and graduate students eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony on May 23 at the Kimmel Center will receive a letter from Vice President for Academic Affairs Sister Maureen McGarrity, CSFN, PhD, along with a Commencement Fact Sheet and Candidate Response Form. A Graduation Fee Billing Notice will also be included with this packet of information. The Candidate Response Form must be completed and returned by Friday, April 18. The graduation billing fee should be paid as promptly as possible.

The Candidate Response Form is used to ascertain the candidate’s attendance status for commencement, reserve guest tickets, verify the candidate’s proper name and major/degree, and provide special information concerning handicap ticket requests as well as how to request extra tickets. The graduates should also indicate if they plan to attend the Thanksgiving Mass when completing the response form.

Questions related to this important information or the Candidate Response Form should be referred to the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, located in Holy Family Hall, Room 217, or call (267) 341-3207.

Students should be responsible and considerate in accepting an invitation to participate. Those who accept an invitation and reserve tickets and then do not attend deprive other graduates who have requested extra tickets.

Requests for extra tickets for commencement will be accepted only if made in advance on the response form provided. The response form must be returned to the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs by Friday, April 18. If requests for extra tickets can be accommodated, the extra tickets will not necessarily be in the same section or row as the tickets originally issued.

No extra ticket requests will be accepted after April 18. Distribution of available extra tickets, either to Verizon Hall of the Kimmel Center or the ETC auditorium for remote site viewing at the Northeast Philadelphia Campus, will be included with the regular ticket order when students come to pick up their tickets starting the week of May 5. Extra reserved tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, so it is very important to return your ticket request form as soon as possible.
