At both Commencement Ceremonies, the Dean of each school will announce the names of the degree recipients. Graduates will walk up onto the stage from the orchestra from the steps on the right side of the stage and exit by walking across the stage and down the steps on the left side of the stage after receiving a diploma folder and shaking hands with the President. Graduates should sit down immediately upon returning to their orchestra seats. When all graduates have received their diploma folders and are again seated, the Vice President for Academic Affairs will instruct graduates to turn their tassels from the right side to the left side of their caps which officially signifies that they are now graduates.
Immediately following both ceremonies, graduates who are just completing their programs of study with the Spring Semester 2015 will be able to pick up their diplomas in the Perelman Theater of the Kimmel Center.
Signs will be posted on tables on the stage of the Perelman Theater where advisors and staff from the Academic Advising Center and the Office of the Registrar will distribute diplomas to those graduates who completed their formal degree requirements in Spring 2015. The Perelman Theater is the same location where all degree candidates line-up for the processional into Verizon Hall.
