A selection of logos are online in the Primary Logo and Secondary Logo sections of the Brand Guide. External requests to use an official logo should e-mail the Office of Marketing and Communications.
For each logo version, there are three formats. Use the .PNG format for internal documents like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The .GIF is for the Web. (Do not resize a .GIF logo in FrontPage because the image will degrade. If you need a different size, e-mail your request and include specific pixel dimensions.) There are several .EPS versions for external professional printing of brochures and promotional items, such as T-shirts. Most users will not be able to open these versions without Adobe PhotoShop or Illustrator software.
No alterations of text or color or proportion of the logo’s elements are allowed. You may not combine the logo with other graphic elements. Leave a minimum amount of white space around a logo. For details, go to Incorrect Usage or Spacing and Minimum Size sections of the Brand Guide.
No. You may add text near a logo, but it must be the minimum distance away from the logo so that it does not seem to be a part of the logo. For details, go to Spacing and Minimum Size of the Brand Guide.
Holy Family has two typefaces to be used on all professional communications materials whenever possible. The primary typeface, Vista Slab Alternate, is a distinctive, contemporary, highly legible slab serif typeface usable for headlines as well as body copy. The secondary typeface, Seravek, is a sans serif typeface that is flexible, modern, and a striking complement to Vista Slab. It can be used for headlines as well as body copy. Both typefaces come in a variety of weights that provide a number of design and type styling options. Do not electronically expand or condense typefaces. Vista Slab Alternate is available in Mac and PC format from Emigre Fonts at http://www.emigre.com. Seravek is available in Mac and PC format from Process Type Foundry at http://processtypefoundry.com.
