Keyword Search

A Keyword search allows you to enter a single word, a phrase, or a combination of words. It looks for those words anywhere in the item's record, so they may occur in the title, author, subject, or notes fields.

You can combine words using the following options:

as a phrase words are searched as a unit (not separately) in the order entered
example: managed health care
will search for: the exact words "managed health care"
and all the search words must be present
example: children and divorce
will search for: both the words "children" and "divorce" occurring together in the same item
or at least one of the search terms must be present in a record
example: adolescent or youth or teenager
will search for: items with one or more of the words "adolescent," "youth," or "teenager"
