A Keyword
search allows you to enter a single word, a phrase, or a combination of words. It looks for those words anywhere in the item's record, so they may occur in the title, author, subject, or notes fields. |
| as a phrase | words are searched as a unit (not separately) in the order entered |
| example: | managed health care |
| will search for: | the exact words "managed health care" |
| and | all the search words must be present |
| example: | children and divorce |
| will search for: | both the words "children" and "divorce" occurring together in the same item |
| or | at least one of the search terms must be present in a record |
| example: | adolescent or youth or teenager |
| will search for: | items with one or more of the words "adolescent," "youth," or "teenager" |
