International Directory of Company Histories.
NEP Ref HD 2721. I63
This multi-volume set offers histories of major US and foreign companies, both public and private. It is an excellent tool for background information not found elsewhere. Information is updated every few years. The last volume contains a cumulative index to companies in all volumes.
