Heteronyms

Biographical Dictionary
Brief descriptions of more than 28,000 men and women from ancient times to the present. Site can be searched by an individual's birth year, accomplishment, profession and other keywords. Information is brief and non-critical. Best used to identify people.

Britannica
Excellent starting page for authoritative information. Searches retrieve articles from the Encyclopedia Britannica, selected magazines, and Internet sites.
