My outside interests involve music, all kinds except country, movies, all kinds except romantic comedies, and old British sports car. My research interests are that of data storage, data analysis, and the chasm in between them. I had worked as a biostatistician involved with cancer research for a number of years, producing a number of papers on best treatments, as well as issues involved with clinical information systems. My other research interests and numerous publications are in extracting information from within text and documents, as well as data and information visualizations. I have taught mathematics, computer science, and information systems for the past thirty years and I am ecstatic to be home at my alma mater, Holy Family University, where I graduated—a long time ago...
