Pre-Medical Advisory Committee

The Pre-Medical Club at Holy Family University provides support and guidance to aspiring physicians. Additionally, membership is open to applicants to pharmacy school, dental school or other professional programs in healthcare. Club members engage in active preparation for the Medical College Aptitude Test (MCAT) and are provided with information, opportunities and support to actively seek out community service, clinical volunteering, and research positions to make them more competitive applicants. Faculty advisors to the Pre-Med Club serve as members of the Pre-Med Committee and assist club members in planning course schedules, extracurricular activities, and other involvements in a way that ensures these students will be strong candidates for admission to medical school and professional programs in healthcare. Through presentations from speakers, club members learn about various medical and healthcare specialties, the application and interview processes, and test preparation. Non-science majors are also encouraged to consider applying to medical and healthcare professional schools.
