VITAE
Robert P. Brennan is a former Internal Revenue Agent with over
32 years of experience dealing with the Internal Revenue Service. As an
agent he was responsible for the examination of individual, corporate
and partnership returns. He has been qualified and has testified as an
expert summary witness both for the government and the defense in criminal
tax cases brought by the government. As a Revenue Agent, he specialized
in Income Reconstruction cases and authored Internal Revenue Manual sections
dealing with reconstructing income where no books or records exist. Since
leaving the Internal Revenue Service, his expertise is dealing with the
Internal Revenue Service in civil and criminal tax matters. These matters
include civil examinations, collections matters and criminal investigations.
Having been a former agent, this “government” mindset is invaluable in understanding
where the IRS is coming from and how to effectively settle the case. Bob is currently
President of the Tax Institute, Inc., specializing in tax compliance issues. He
is an Instructor of Accounting at Holy Family University teaching accounting
and taxation courses. He has been on the faculty of Ursinus College, and Penn
State University. In addition to instruction at Holy Family he is an Adjunct
Professor at Philadelphia University teaching “Business Fraud” in
their MBA program.

Dr. Jan W. Buzydlowski’s research interests are that of
data storage, data analysis, and the chasm in between them. He
worked as a biostatistician involved with cancer research for
a number of years, producing a number of papers on best treatments,
as well as issues involved with clinical information systems. His
other research interests and numerous publications are in extracting
information from within text and documents, as well as data and
information visualizations. He has taught mathematics,
computer science, and information systems for the past thirty
years and is happy to be home at his alma mater, Holy Family
University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in
mathematics. Dr. Buzydlowski also holds master’s
degrees in computer science education from Arcadia University,
as well as in statistics from Temple University. He earned
his doctorate in information science and technology from Drexel
University. He is a member of the ACM and IEEE and is currently
vice-chair of the Princeton Joint Professional Chapter, ACM and
IEEE Computer Society.

Dr. J. Barry Dickinson is an Assistant Professor of Marketing within Marketing/Management
program. He teaches all of the marketing classes including Principles of Marketing,
Consumer Behavior, Principles of Advertising, and Marketing Research. He also
teaches several of the management courses including Operations Management, Entrepreneurship
in the New Economy, and the MNMK Capstone course. The Capstone course provides
hands-on experience to students via running a company with
a computer simulation called Capsim. Dr. Dickinson is a former entrepreneur,
serving as CEO and Founder of a successful South Jersey firm that provided professional
services related to mobile and wireless technology. Dr. Dickinson earned a BS
from Rutgers University, a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Lasalle
University, and a PhD from Drexel University. He has published widely in the
areas of entrepreneurship, mobile marketing, relationship marketing, social media,
business processes, customer relationship management (CRM), supply chain management
(SCM), quality initiatives (ISO 9000), and business strategy. He also possesses
an extensive background in teaching in an online environment. Dr. Dickinson has
been a member of the American Marketing Association for many years and possesses
the AMA’s Professional Certified Marketer designation.

Dr. Anthony DiPrimio is presently Professor of Business Administration/Finance
and Chairman of the Department of Management/Marketing. He was
the first dean of the School of Business Administration at Holy
Family University for seven years. He teaches a wide range of
management courses including: Labor Law, Human Resources Management,
Organizational Behavior, the Senior Seminar in Management, Policy
and Strategic Planning, Organizational Communication, and Training
and Development. Concurrent with his responsibilities as a corporate
executive, and before joining the faculty at Holy Family University,
Dr. DiPrimio taught a wide range of graduate business courses
for over twenty years as an adjunct professor in the MBA Programs
at Temple University and La Salle University. Prior to joining
the faculty at Holy Family University, he held senior executive
positions with Lewistown Hospital, Our Lady of Lourdes Medical
Center, and First Union Bank. In these positions as vice president
of human resources, he was responsible for the management of
labor relations which included: negotiation of collective bargaining
agreements, grievance administration, NLRB hearings, and policy
formulation. He also had responsibility for setting and administering
compensation and benefits policy. Dr. DiPrimio received his undergraduate
education in business administration at LaSalle University, his
master’s degree in
applied economics from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton
School, and his doctorate in organizational communication/management
from Temple University. He has published extensively in the field
of management including a textbook titled Managing Corporate
Communications: A Human Resources Perspective,
a second book titled: Quality Assurance in Service Organizations,
and ten articles on Productivity and Quality Improvement. He
is currently working on a third book to be titled: Corporate
Leadership: A CEO’s Survival
Manual. He is active in a wide range of professional societies,
has given public seminars in management and served on community
support committees.
Melissa Fender, PhD

Melissa Fender is Assistant Professor of Management in the School
of Business. Her specialty is organizational behavior, but she
also teaches general management, strategy and human resources.
She holds a PhD in organization and strategy from Drexel University,
an MBA from Penn State and a bachelor of science in computer
science from Cabrini College, all summa cum laude. She
is a lifetime member of the Beta Gamma Sigma business
honor society. Her
research focuses on the impact of after-hours connectivity to
the organization on employees’ work-family conflict, stress,
job attitudes, and performance.
She has published in the Organization Management Journal and
in the Encyclopedia of Career Development. She has made numerous
conference presentations at the Teaching Conference for Management
Educators both at the regional and international level. She has
also presented at the prestigious Academy of Management; her
most recent paper was nominated for the William H. Newman dissertation
award. She
is currently working on an organizational behavior case study
and a symposium for the first annual Work-Family Research Network
conference.
Melissa has extensive business experience in management, marketing
and MIS, across the high tech, financial, marketing and health
care management lines of business; she has held positions from
entry to executive level. Her most recent positions were as vice
president of credit systems at FirstUSA Bank and vice president
of IT at RMH Teleservices. She brings not only a strong
grounding in theory, but also practical knowledge and many personal
stories into the classroom with her.
A lifelong classical music lover, Melissa sings with the Wayne
Oratorio society, a choir of 150-200 members that gives 3-4 public
performances each year. Melissa also serves on its board and
serves as the secretary/treasurer of the Wayne Presbyterian church
choir. In her spare time, she volunteers with the American Cancer
Society and captains the Paoli team in the annual Race for the
Cure, where she is one of the top ten fundraisers in Philadelphia.

Dr. Cao Jiang is a finance faculty at Holy Family University. He
teaches various finance courses and has research interest in
corporate finance, international finance, and political economics. He
has been researching with top scholars in the field of finance,
management, and international business. He is a graduate of SWUFE,
the school of the Chinese central bank, and has a Ph.D. in Finance
degree from Temple University. He was
a faculty at Temple University, and a visiting professor at The
College of New Jersey and Rowan University. Dr. Jiang is
a member of the American Finance Association and the Financial
Management Association and has presented his work at conferences
and workshops in the US and Asia. He is also
an avid electronic hobbyist, classical music lover, vintage car
appreciator, and mechanical phonograph collector.

Andrew Liebman earned a BA in Economics and Business Administration
at City University of New York. He also holds an MBA from Baruch
College of City University of New York. He has garnered thirty
years of teaching experience at the college and university level.
He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Business Administration
and Management Marketing at Holy Family University, at which
he has been employed for 22 years. Professor Liebman also heads
the Sports Marketing Management program at Holy Family University.

Dr. Thomas B. Martin is a former CEO and Division President of
five high-technology companies. He has extensive international
experience, having served as a corporate officer for companies
based in Great Britain, Germany, Canada, and Israel. In
2002 he joined Holy Family University where he is a Professor
and the former Director of the graduate program in Information
Systems Management. In 2008, he co-founded Forensics, Inc.,
a company specializing in Integrated Forensics.
Dr. Martin received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from
the University of Notre Dame, and the M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He has
over 50 published papers, and has been awarded 19 patents. He
is a Senior Fellow of the Foreign Policy Research Institute,
a member of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association,
the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the American Society
of Digital Forensics & e-Discovery, the Digital Forensics
Association, and the Information Systems Security Association.

Dr. Bernice M. Purcell teaches undergraduate courses in management information systems
and mentors cooperative education students from the School of Business Administration. She
has a BA degree from Holy Family University in Management Information Systems,
an MBA with a concentration in Management from LaSalle University, and is a DBA
candidate at Northcentral University in Prescott Valley, Arizona, with a concentration
in Management Information Systems. Her dissertation research involves quality
management of electronic health records. Dr. Purcell has presented on
topics in the fields of business computing and education, including presentations
on web portals, multi-media use in distance learning, operations research, and
quality issues in cooperative education. Her publications focus on the
areas of customer relationship management (CRM) and data analytics. She
is a member of the Data Management Association (DAMA), Association for Computing
Machinery (ACM), Project Management Institute (PMI), and the Academy of Management
(AOM).
