I try to make each class a unique experience, based on my background in urban law enforcement as well as life situations. I have a scholarly, and open-minded approach to the topic areas. I enjoy interacting with students in and out of the classroom, in my capacity as a career advisor to those who seek advice on academic and personal issues.

Through his professional affiliations and administrative positions, as well as external program reviews, Dr. Whelan has experience and interest in Criminal Justice curriculum issues.
