Teaching Focus or Philosophy

Students construct their own knowledge; therefore the proper role of the teacher is a facilitator of learning. Students learn best when they are allowed to relate abstract theory to practical experiences. Teachers need to plan their instruction according to their students' developmental stages and learning styles.
