Teaching Focus or Philosophy

In teaching, both graduate and undergraduate students, I bear in mind that the students of today could be my colleagues tomorrow. This philosophy assures that I am teaching content that is current, useful and empirically based. It also establishes a culture of mutual respect in the classroom that fosters life-long learning.

Additional Info

My research interests lie in the field of geriatric psychology. I am particularly interested in behavioral and milieu interventions to improve quality of life for patients with Alzheimer's and their caregivers. I have also done some writing about the failure of the medical community to recognize eating disorders in older adults.
