I retired as a Principal in 2010, after spending 40 years in public education, and began my "encore career" and Doctoral Studies at Holy Family. One of the most exciting events of my career occurred the summer of 2013. I spent 10 days in Chamazi, Tanzania with Sr.Francesca and Dr. Kim Heuschkel working with students in a Montessori School administrated by the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer. We worked with Dr. Paul Kim and the Seeds of Empowerment from Stanford University to introduce technology and problem solving skills using Android Tablets to these students. The experience was a life-changing event and I anticipate returning in the summer of 2014 to continue the work.
