Tigers on the Loose

More than 150 alumni and friends gathered this year at Tigers on the Loose. We are pleased to announce that the event surpassed its $250,000 goal with more than $270,000 raised! Thank you to our sponsors and donors for their generous support of student financial aid.

Please save the date of May 12, 2022 for the next Tigers on the Loose, which will be held at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Center City Philadelphia. As the first art museum and school in the United States, it features a world-famous collection of American art.

Annual Scholarship Celebration
Thursday, June 3, 2021
6:00-9:00 p.m.
University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology

Join us at America’s museum of ancient worlds for a scholarship celebration to raise critical funds for student financial aid.

The Penn Museum was specially selected to host Tigers on the Loose this year, as it features the large outdoor Warden Garden. With the easing of coronavirus restrictions, we look forward to gathering safely in person outdoors.

Since 1887, the Penn Museum has been transforming our understanding of the human experience. Dedicated to building connections between cultures, the Museum welcomes everyone to uncover the past, gain an understanding of our shared humanity, and find one’s own place in the arc of human history. The Museum’s galleries celebrate the incredible and diverse accomplishments of people, and many of the one-of-a-kind artifacts on display come directly from Penn’s more than 300 archaeological and anthropological expeditions.

The evening will begin in the elegant Warden Garden, featuring glass mosaics by the Tiffany Glass Company, with a reception featuring food stations, hors d’oeuvres, and an open bar. Following a short program, the reception will continue in the Warden Garden and guests will have the option to enjoy exclusive access to the Penn Museum’s galleries, including Asia, which features one of the finest collections of monumental Chinese art, and Egypt, where you will learn about burial practices and mummification.
