Holy Family University's School of Nursing & Allied Health Professions (SNAHP) is hosting its Seventh Annual School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions Alumni Reunion and Distinguished Lecture Program on Wednesday, November 1, in the Education and Technology Center Auditorium at 6 pm.
“The Seventh Annual Alumni Reunion and Distinguished Lecture event provides the perfect opportunity for our alumni, current faculty, students, and friends of Holy Family University to gather to celebrate our nursing profession,” said Dr. Cynthia Russell, Dean.
“Whether rekindling friendships or making new connections, the Value of Family shines strong during this highly anticipated annual event.”
Kristen L. Mauk, PhD, DNP, RN, CRRN, GCNS-BC, GNP-BC, ACHPN, FAAN, will be the keynote speaker. Her presentation is titled, Navigating the Mountain: Successful Aging along the Continuum of Care.
“A thought and practice leader in nursing, Dr. Kristen L. Mauk joins Holy Family University as the seventh annual Distinguished Lecturer,” Russell said. “Dr. Mauk is currently the Director for the RN-BSN and MSN programs at Colorado Christian University. Dr. Mauk has more than 35 years of experience in chronic illness nursing, rehabilitation, and gerontological nursing. She has authored or edited eight books, including two that were recognized with the AJN Book of the Year Award. Dr. Mauk is the co-founder and President of Senior Care Central/International Rehabilitation Consultants. She is the recent past president of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) and is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Rehabilitation Nursing.”
