The Holy Family University Art Gallery presents "Emotional Metamorphosis," paintings by senior Aliki Fanourgakis. The senior student art exhibit opens on Tuesday, April 16, and runs through April 27. An opening reception and meet and greet with the artist will take place on Tuesday, April 16, from 6–8 pm.
Fanourgakis' work shows how emotions can change depending on the given situation. The viewer will notice the emotional changes within each work and how a butterfly’s metamorphosis makes its change as well. The purpose of her work is to show that no matter the situation, time, or place, there are many different emotions and one should be allowed to show them no matter the circumstance.
The University Art Gallery is located on the Lower Level of the Education & Technology Center on the University’s Northeast Philadelphia campus. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
