Diversity Team Hosts "What Peace Means to Me" Contest

The Diversity Team welcomes you back and hopes that you have enjoyed a relaxing summer.

As we begin our semester and anxiously await the exciting visit to our city by Pope Francis and the World Meeting of Families, we are also looking forward to International Day 2015 during that same week. On the International Day of Peace, September 21, 2015, the Diversity Team in collaboration with Fusion (our students' multicultural club) is inviting all Holy Family University students to participate in a contest, What Peace Means To Me.

Answer the Question: What does peace look like in the 21st century for my family, my culture, my city, my school, or my country?

Write it, sing it, create it, draw it, and submit it to the Diversity Team by Tuesday, September 15, 2015.

Prizes for winning submissions will be given during International Day. First prize: $200, Second prize: $100, Third prize: $50.

As always, we are inviting the campus community to help us celebrate the multicultural students and families here on campus through your attendance in our International Day of Peace program. We welcome any ethnic table displays, food, and artifacts in celebration of the diversity among our student, staff, and faculty at Holy Family University. Please contact Dr. Matusiak at x3526 for more details. Thank you to all for your continued support of diversity!
