Holy Family University is committed to fostering a safe work environment for all employees, students, and visitors. No task or duty is urgent enough to by-pass proper procedures and safe work practices. Safety must be an integral part of University culture and be held in the highest regard.
Safety Committee Purpose
The purpose of the Holy Family University Safety Committee is to bring all Holy Family University employees together to achieve and maintain a safe, healthful workplace. The goal of the Holy Family University Safety Committee is to eliminate workplace injuries and illnesses by involving employees and managers in identifying hazards and suggesting how to prevent them. The Holy Family University Safety Committee has four objectives:
- Involve employees in achieving a safe, healthful workplace.
- Prompt review of all safety-related injuries, accidents, illnesses, and deaths.
- Conduct bi-annual workplace inspections, identify hazards, and recommend methods for eliminating or controlling the hazards.
- Annually evaluate Holy Family University's workplace safety program and recommend improvements to management.
