Assistant Professor of Biology/Exercise Science
The School of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Biology with an emphasis on Exercise Science. The position will have a start date of August 2023. This founding faculty position in Exercise Science will assist in the building of the Exercise Science program that will encompass an existing program in Pre-Physical Therapy.

The successful candidate should have demonstrated excellence in teaching higher education. It is also expected that the successful candidate will maintain a commitment to excellence in teaching, diversity, scholarship, and service.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Building curriculum in Exercise Science
- Apply for and maintain Program accreditation
- Teaching courses in an array of foundational courses in Exercise Science
- Advising and mentoring students in Pre-Physical Therapy and Exercise Science
- Research/scholarship mentoring and supervision
- Participation in school- and university-wide committees and initiatives
Qualifications
- Candidates must hold a PhD degree in Biology or Exercise Science by the start date (ABD will be considered as long as the degree is conferred by the start date)
