Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology
The School of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology, with a start date of August 2023. Employees must understand the mission of Catholic Higher education and be committed to the core values, mission, goals, and objectives of Holy Family University.
The successful candidate should have demonstrated excellence in teaching higher education. Although the area of specialization is open, the department seeks a candidate who will be able to teach classes in the Master’s Psychology program which delivers courses in-person in the evenings and in fully online formats. It is also expected that the successful candidate will maintain a commitment to excellence in teaching, diversity, scholarship, and service.
Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive)
- Teaching courses in Biological Basis of Behavior, Psychopharmacology, Research, Assessment. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Advising and mentoring students
- Research/scholarship mentoring and supervision
- Participation in school- and university-wide committees and initiatives
- LPC License Holders preferred
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a PsyD or PhD degree in psychology (or a closely related field) by the start date (ABD may be considered under specific circumstances).
