Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Analytics

The School of Business and Professional Studies at Holy Family University invites applications for a full-time faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level in Information Systems and Analytics.  This position will begin Spring 2023. The successful candidate should have demonstrated excellence in teaching at the higher education level. This faculty member will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in information systems and business analytics. It is also expected that the successful candidate will maintain a commitment to excellence in teaching, diversity, scholarship, and service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Participates in the development and evaluation of the undergraduate curricula in Information Systems and Business Analytics.
  • Develops, teaches, and evaluates assigned courses.
  • Serves as faculty advisor to students in technology related majors.
  • Assumes responsibility for serving as course coordinator as appropriate.
  • Actively participates in school and university affairs, community activities, and professional
  • organizations.
  • Actively formulates and implements a plan of teaching, scholarship, and service.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuing education and professional development.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Management Information Systems, Business, Analytics or a related field. Doctoral degree preferred.  
  • Expertise in teaching the use of Python, R, and SQL. 
  • Experience with BI tools.
  • A strong visual and data-driven storyteller. 
  • Previous coursework in statistics a plus.
