Holy Family University Resident Advisor (RA) Selection Information)Residence Life seeks dedicated student leaders with a passion for helping others and building community to serve on the Resident Advisor (RA) staff each year. Being an RA is challenging, rewarding, and fun. If selected as an RA, in exchange for your dedicated services, you will receive a free room and declining balance meal plan.

In order to go through the selection process, all applicants must complete each step in the allotted time frame. Failure to complete each piece of the application process will result in the applicant being removed from the process.

Want to become a Resident Advisor for the 2020-21 school year? All full-time UG students, who are sophomores and above (not graduating in December) can apply to be an RA. You don't have to have prior living on campus experience to apply.

Section F - References

Two reference letters are required for each applicant. One must be a faculty/staff member from the Holy Family community and the other must be from outside the Holy Family Community. Please ensure that you choose someone who can give you the appropriate reference and who knows your leadership capabilities. Please note that you will NOT be permitted to read any reference letters. Please submit the name and email addresses of your two references below and we will email them the form. They will submit that form back to us, directly. We will notify you once a reference form has been received so that you can appropriately follow up by the given deadline.

Section G - Leadership Sessions

Each applicant is required to attend 2 leadership sessions, each consisting of one hour. These two sessions are part of the process and you will review important topics, go over scenarios, and discuss the position in depth. Please check which sessions you will attend. You must attend one under Session 1 and one under Session 2.

Each candidate will sign up for a one hour interview with Residence Life staff. Please select any that you are ABLE to attend.

Section I - Timeline of Selection

All candidates will be notified of selection results by Monday, March 16, 2020, so that they can prepare for housing deposits on March 20, 2020. Candidates who do not have a 2.5 cumulative GPA by the end of the spring ’20 semester will automatically be removed and an alternate will be placed in that position.
