Housing Deposit Deferral Application


By filling out this application, you are stating that you are unable to pay the $300.00 housing deposit for the 2017-2018 school year by the due date of March 17, 2017. This form is for a deferral only, and you will still be paying for the housing deposit. Please note that deferrals are only granted in cases of severe financial hardship and no one is guaranteed a deferral even if he/she was granted one in the past.

To make sure your request has been received and granted, you should complete the form and submit it by March 3, 2017 at noon. Late requests cannot be considered. A confirmation or refusal will be emailed to your Holy Family email account within 5 days of your request being received. If denied, you will still be responsible for paying the deposit (in full) by the due date. We recommend submitting requests as early as possible so that you have adequate time to find the funds needed if your request is denied.

If you currently live on campus, and your request is approved, please note that at the end of this school year (Spring 2017), you will not receive a $300 deposit refund because it will be absorbed to cover your deposit for the 2017-2018 school year. If you incur charges during May 2017 room checks, they will be added to your account and you will be billed for them.

If you don't currently live on campus or you didn't pay the deposit last year, and your request is approved, you will have until November 17, 2017 to pay your deposit at the Business Office. Please note that if you decide not to live on campus, you will be charged the $300 for the deposit as it's non-refundable once you select housing in April 2017.

Any student who signs the housing contract and participates in selection for the 2017-2018 school year in April 2017 will NOT be refunded the $300 should he/she leave prior to Spring 2018 at closing.
