Holy Family provides three distinct residential-living experiences.
St. Joseph's Hall
Located at the center of campus just steps from the Campus Center, Holy Family Hall, and the Library, St. Joseph’s Hall offers double-occupancy rooms and communal bathrooms. The four-story residence hall houses both male and female students (one gender per floor) and contains a computer lab, lounges, game room area, and vending room. A security desk monitors building access, there is one Resident Advisor per floor, as well as a live-in professional staff member.
Each floor contains a kitchenette with a microwave and sink, and laundry machines in this building are free of charge to the residents. The laundry area is located on the ground floor across from the Residence Coordinator’s Office. The building is air conditioned and wireless internet access is available throughout. St. Joseph’s residents park in the Campus Center lot. Students access the building using their IDs and are given keys to access their individual bedrooms.
Located on Grant Avenue near the Torresdale train station, the Garden Residence is our apartment-style living option. Each apartment is designated male or female. Each apartment has a full kitchen, two bathrooms, a living area, and a washer and dryer in each unit. Apartments either have two double rooms, or one double room and two single rooms. Each unit has its own heating and air conditioning control and access to our wireless internet. Students in this area do not have to choose a meal plan, but may choose to do so at their discretion. Garden Residence residents have their own lot near the apartments. Two resident advisors, as well as professional staff members, also live in the Garden Residence. Access to the apartments is all by student ID cards.
Stevenson Lane Residence
Our newest building, Stevenson Lane Residence, offers suite-style living with plenty of amenities. Students live on four levels, with single gender and co-ed floors available. Each unit serves up to four students and features two bedrooms, a bathroom with separate shower and sink facilities, and a small living room. Each unit controls its own heating and air conditioning. Kitchenettes and laundry rooms (free) are provided on each floor. A quiet study room sits on one wing of each floor and on the opposite wing of each floor sits a student TV lounge offering a spectacular panoramic view of the campus and beyond.
The building's first floor also has a fitness room, game room, vending room, and a large lounge space. Students use ID cards to access the building and gain entrance to their suites, and are given keys to enter their bedrooms. There is a security office at the entrance, as well as a parking lot with plenty of space for SLR residents. There is an RA on every floor, as well as professional staff offices and apartments.
