Welcome. We hope you’ll be spending lots of time with us.
At Holy Family University, we believe in providing the best resources for students. Welcome to the library system, which includes not only our two Library buildings, but also an extensive online research database. In addition, we offer materials for entertainment purposes and recreational reading.
We encourage you to get to know us. We’ll provide guidance in finding any knowledge or information you’d like to access, and we’ll do everything possible to make your experience both productive and enjoyable.
The Library: Our locations
There are two physical locations: the Northeast Library on our Philadelphia campus and the Learning Resource Center (LRC), located at our Newtown site.
The Library Catalog
For reference materials, books, journals and DVDs that support your studies, visit either of our libraries and browse through the stacks.
Use our online resources from any computer or mobile device (note: you must be online first) by clicking on Research Databases to access online archives, journal articles, streaming videos, and electronic books on a spectrum of topics. Library Forms enable you to request materials from other libraries or to email us a question.
We support your quest for knowledge in many other ways and have designed our online interface to be “mobile-friendly.” Click on the tabs in this website to find Research Guides, Services and Policies, Library Handouts and Library Hours.
In keeping with our policy of providing the best academic resources we can, we encourage you to keep informed on our service updates, and to ask questions to our library staff. We’re part of the statewide Ask-A-Librarian network, and if we can’t provide an answer, you’ll be put in touch with librarians from across the state.
