This comprehensive, multidisciplinary database provides access to articles from thousands of journals, magazines, and other periodical sources in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and medicine. Full text articles are available as well as abstracts (article summaries for older or brand-new articles) which may be available in full text via external links or interlibrary loan from the HFU library. Full text coverage is generally from 1975 forward.

Scholarly and professional content.

CINAHL includes articles and abstracts from the leading nursing and allied health journals in the United States and around the world. Includes selected full-text articles from 1937 to present and also links to full text articles where available in other Holy Family library journal subscriptions.

The Cochrane Library 

 

The Cochrane Library is a collection of databases containing quality information to assist healthcare professionals in making evidence-based decisions. Reviews and protocols, healthcare trials, technology assessments, and economic evaluations are included.

Counseling and Therapy [in Video]

 

This online video collection covers the following subject areas: psychotherapy, psychology, psychiatric counseling, and social work. The collection currently includes 331 videos along with the Video Journal of Counseling and Therapy, and is searchable by therapy types, therapists, presentation type, and by subject.

Journal of Visualized Experiments

 

The Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE) is a PubMed-indexed video journal dedicated to teaching laboratory fundamentals through simple, easy to understand video demonstrations.
