CCNE Accreditation for Holy Family University’s School of Nursing & Health Sciences Extended Through 2030

On November 21, 2021, the baccalaureate and master’s degree programs in nursing at the School of Nursing & Health Sciences were reaccredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The accreditation is effective as of March 25, 2020, and will extend to December 31, 2030.

CCNE is a national nursing education accrediting agency that is officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The accreditation evaluation process was originally scheduled for spring 2020 but was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Upon completion of the vigorous review of the School of Nursing & Health Sciences degree programs, the CCNE Board of Commissioners determined that the University continues to meet all four accreditation standards of CCNE.

“I am exceedingly proud that our bachelor’s and master’s nursing programs have been reaccredited by CCNE, which reaffirms how truly exceptional the nursing programs are at Holy Family,” said Margaret Harkins, DNP, MBE, RN-BC, CRNP, dean of the School of Nursing & Health Sciences. “Holy Family University offers our students the highest quality of education at all levels of nursing practice, from those entering the field to experienced nurses seeking to become leaders that will impact the health of individuals and communities. Preparing nursing professionals to excel in today’s ever-changing healthcare environment requires comprehensive education, and the depth and quality of a Holy Family nursing degree is renowned in the Philadelphia area healthcare community.”
