Teaching Philosophy

The truth is I love statistics and research design. I love helping future psychologists develop their scientific literacy skills and feel comfortable with interpreting scientific literature and integrating it into their clinical decision-making. Further, my favorite thing to do is to support our counseling psychology doctoral students as they develop and conduct their own research, both as part of their course requirements and also while they conduct their own dissertation research. I also understand that not everyone feels the same way about statistics and research design, and that’s okay! I enjoy meeting students exactly where they are on their statistics/research journey and supporting their growth in those skills with as much, or as little, support as they prefer.
