Nicola (Nicky) Schneider, MA, BCBA, LBA-NJ is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and New Jersey Licensed Behavior Analyst. Over the last twenty years, Nicky has had the privilege of supporting neurodivergent individuals of all ages and skillsets in various roles within the New Jersey education system– ranging from classroom teacher, to BCBA, to consultant and administrator. Nicky holds a bachelor’s degree in special education, a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a post-master’s certificate in Educational Administration. Nicky currently serves as a supervisor at a sub-separate public school program for autistic students at the Jersey Shore. In addition to her role within the school system, Nicky also provides independent consultation and professional development on how to infuse neurodiversity-affirming and assent-based practices within school behavior management systems.

Nicky’s passion lies in empowering those she trains to apply the science of behavior analysis in nuanced contexts. Nicky enjoys presenting both submitted and invited presentations at state, national and international behavior analytic conferences. She attributes her comfort on stage to her late father who was a diehard community theater actor as well as a special education teacher.

When Nicky is not with the students, you can find her outdoors kayaking, looking for bald eagles or walking the boardwalk!
