Lois Samuel Nursing Scholarship
The Lois Samuel Memorial Scholarship for Aspiring Nurses at Holy Family University
Lois Samuel dedicated her life to the care and service of others.
A graduate of Holy Family University's Nursing School program of 1997, Lois Samuel dedicated her life to the care and service of others. Her competitive spirit was on display as an athlete growing up, playing badminton for the Philadelphia High School for Girls. Her discipline and strive were evident as the first in her family to go to college. Lois' passion to serve was unquestionable. Professionally, she tended to patients as a nurse working in Intensive Care Units. In her personal life, Lois was a leading matriarch within her larger family, an organizer within her community, a sponsor for the vulnerable worldwide, and a loving mother of three children.
Education played an important role in shaping who Lois would become in her adult life. She took her studies seriously, knowing that they would take her places not easily afforded nor accessible to others with similar backgrounds. That is why the Lois Samuel Scholarship is needed. This initiative aims to reward students who demonstrate Lois' strive, competitive nature, and caring spirit in the field of nursing.
With your contribution, you not only keep Lois' legacy alive in her absence, you give it forward progress to future healthcare professionals who want to make a positive impact and difference in the world Lois left behind. Please consider donating today.
