Dr. Patrick McElwaine, Psy.D., LPC

Dr. Patrick McElwaine, Psy.D., LPC

Dr. Patrick McElwaine is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a Beck Institute CBT Certified Clinician. Dr. McElwaine is an Associate Professor and the Program Director of the Graduate Counseling Psychology Program at Holy Family University and is a faculty member at the Beck Institute. Dr. McElwaine is also a columnist for Treatment Magazine and Psychology Today.

Nicholas Emeigh

Nicholas Emeigh

Nicholas Emeigh is the Associate Executive Director of NAMI Bucks County. He is a mental health advocate and public speaker with 8 years of continuous recovery from mental illness and substance use, and is a survivor of 3 suicide attempts. He proudly serves the community as Associate Executive Director for NAMI Bucks County PA providing help, hope, awareness, and opportunities to Bucks County’s 600,000 residents.

Nicholas has frequently been called upon by local media outlets for comment as a fierce advocate for his peers – fellow human beings living with mental illness and substance use disorders. He speaks often at conferences, schools, and institutions of medicine and higher learning on the power of peer support, about his own journey through an intense battle with mental illness, and what he is doing now to help shatter the stigma so that no one feels alone on their journey to recovery. He also works closely with local officials and legislators to help them understand and remember just how important mental health is.

Katie Kennedy

Katie Kennedy

Katie Kennedy is a Treatment Advocate at Recovery Centers of America at Devon. As a person in long-term recovery, Katie understands the importance of accessibility to treatment and the care provided for those suffering from substance use disorder.

With a background in business development and with the use of her personal connections, it only made sense for her to combine these passions into a career in the recovery field. Katie also provides education on addiction and treatment to communities, families, and professionals.

 

Kristina Loftus

Kristina Loftus

Kristina Loftus, a 2008 graduate of the Abington School of Radiology and currently a staff Interventional Radiology Technologist at Jefferson Abington Health, is pursuing board certification as a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist.

Kristina has dedicated her life to beneficence in both her personal and professional life. By doing so, she has helped countless individuals grow spiritually and physically and remains curious about not allowing meeting individuals' needs but also providing pathways to solutions. Her sobriety has spanned over twelve-and-a-half years and through those years, Kristina has adopted the mantra of "It's a good day to be a good day."

 

Patrick Mullen, Psy.D.

Patrick Mullen, Psy.D.

Dr. Mullen specializes in the study and treatment of addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. His research has focused on areas such as cognitive behavioral therapy for substance use disorder and medications for opioid use disorder. He treats individuals through a holistic lens infused with the evidence-based practices of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and motivational interviewing (MI). As Chief Clinical Officer of Manifesto Health, Dr. Mullen oversees the recovery support services and provides supervision to the staff of certified recovery specialists. He lives with his wife and daughter in the Philadelphia area.

 

Joseph Owens, MSW

Joseph Owens, MSW

Joseph Owens, MSW, works for Steps to Recovery Behavioral Health Services as a Regional Director of Clinical Partnerships. Joseph's passion is to get out in the field where individuals need resources, connections, support, and empathy! Joseph has a very well-rounded approach to working with individuals struggling with substance use and/or primary mental health diagnoses, as he is a person in recovery as well as a Master of Social Work graduate from Temple University's College of Public Health. This inclusive combination of personal experience, professional capabilities, and foundations in clinical training allows Joseph to help a wide range of individuals find the best options for substance use disorder and mental health treatment.

Joseph works passionately to connect anyone looking for help to reputable and equitable treatment options. Patience and Consistency are the two words that drive him daily in his recovery, personal and professional life, believing that if he keeps consistently working his way forward and patiently endures the process, he can accomplish anything.

 

Mark Ryab

Mark Ryan

Mark Ryan, Jr. is a therapist in the South Jersey area. He works at two treatment centers that specialize in treating addiction. Mark battled with his addiction for years until he found help. He has been sober for 9 years and now spends most of his time trying to help other people find their path out of addiction.
