For 47 years, Sister Patrice Feher, CSFN ’66 served the students of Holy Family University, first as a history professor and later as the Dean of Students and Vice President of Student Services. Yet, her ministry extended far beyond teaching and administration at Holy Family. Sr. Patrice was a mentor and adviser to countless students through the years.
Beloved by alumni, faculty, staff and students, Sr. Patrice was known for cheering on the University’s athletes, organizing dinners for senior citizens and playing Scrabble in the residence halls. Those who attended Holy Family through the years fondly recall her “Breakfast of Champions” before finals. Sister Maureen McGarrity, CSFN, PhD, President of Holy Family University, described her as “a cornerstone of the Holy Family University community for decades”.
As a tribute to her exceptional loyalty and dedication to the Holy Family community, the Sister Patrice Feher, CSFN ’66 Loyalty Society has been established in her honor. The Feher Society recognizes donors who have made annual gifts of any amount for three or more consecutive fiscal years. Their consistent support is important to the overall success of our annual giving program. Members will receive special recognition from University leadership as well as forms of public recognition that will acknowledge the unique role they play in supporting the Value of Family.
Our loyalty donors reflect the same spirit of faithful service that Sr. Patrice embodied throughout her life, and help Holy Family University continue to provide a values-centered education in the firm tradition of Catholic higher education.
