Katherine Primus serves as vice president for marketing and communications at Holy Family University, a position she began in March 2025. She brings extensive experience in strategic communications, brand development, and stakeholder engagement across higher education and nonprofit sectors.

Before joining Holy Family, Primus served at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she led communications and engagement for the School’s $1 billion fundraising campaign and managed a portfolio generating over $110 million in annual revenue. Her work included producing the award-winning Wharton Magazine, developing donor communications and stewardship, and partnering with faculty to bring lifelong learning to national and international audiences. She also restructured and expanded her team to better support divisional goals and led the events function during a leadership transition.

Earlier in her career, she held senior communications roles at the Philadelphia Education Fund and Maternity Care Coalition, and served as executive director of the Christian Association at the University of Pennsylvania, where she launched student-focused programs and overhauled communications strategies to drive stakeholder engagement.

At Holy Family, Primus leads the University’s marketing and communications strategy, advancing brand visibility, institutional storytelling, and engagement with internal and external audiences.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Michigan.
