Holy Family University Hosts Delegation of Nursing Education Leaders from Germany

Holy Family University Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences Margaret Harkins, DNP, MBE, MSN, GNP-BC, RN-BC and members of her staff served as hosts for a delegation of nine nursing education leaders and their interpreters from Germany at the University’s Northeast Philadelphia campus on October 11. 

Arranged through the division of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) of the U.S. Department of State, and in conjunction with the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, the leaders joined in discussions on nurse training programs and nursing education transformation. In addition to attending the presentation, organized by Vice Dean Michelle Murphy-Rozanski, PhD, MSN, RN, CRNP-FNP, and dialoguing with their Holy Family colleagues, the guests participated in a nursing simulation demonstration and a brief tour of the campus.

The Holy Family School of Nursing &Health Sciences has hosted similar groups over the past years, including a delegation from Suriname in April 2022.
