Holy Family University Named One of America’s Best Colleges by Money: Recognized for Exceptional Value, Affordability, and Student Success

Best Colleges in America 2025 by Money Magazine

Holy Family University has been named one of Money magazine’s Best Colleges in America for 2025, earning a 4-out-of-5-star rating and national recognition for its exceptional value, strong outcomes, and affordability.

Holy Family is one of just 22 colleges and universities in Pennsylvania to earn four or more stars — out of the state’s 147 four-year institutions — and stands out as the most affordable among them. The University’s estimated net cost after financial aid of $13,800 is more than 27% lower than the next most affordable peer on the list.

This recognition follows Holy Family’s recent inclusion in the 2025 Carnegie Classifications as an “Opportunity College and University – Higher Access, Higher Earnings,” a designation awarded to institutions that both reflect the diversity of their communities and help graduates achieve significantly higher earnings than their local peers.

“This recognition from Money affirms what our students, families, and alumni experience every day — Holy Family offers an education that’s not only high quality, but also deeply personal, accessible, and focused on real outcomes,” said Dr. Anne Prisco, president of Holy Family University. “At a time when many are questioning the value of higher education, we’re proud to stay true to our mission: opening doors, creating opportunities, and helping our students build meaningful lives and careers.”

Money evaluated 732 colleges (selected from more than 2,400 nationwide) based on 25 data points across three weighted categories: affordability (40%), quality of education (30%), and student outcomes (30%), including alumni earnings, loan repayment, and economic mobility. Rather than assigning numeric ranks, Money uses a star rating system to better reflect performance range.

Holy Family continues to serve as a launchpad for students from all walks of life — especially those seeking an education that is both meaningful and attainable.
