Holy Family University School of Nursing & Health Sciences Plans Alumni Panel Discussion on Current Trends and the Future of Nursing on October 20

As part of a year-long celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Holy Family University School of Nursing, Dean Margaret Harkins and the School of Nursing & Health Sciences Department will host a panel discussion of distinguished nursing alumni on Friday, October 20 from 1-2 p.m. in the Education & Technology Center auditorium.

Holy Family University President Dr. Anne Prisco, Rev. Dr. Lorina Marshall Blake, president of IBX Foundation, and senior Francesca Valenti, president of the Student Nurses Association at Holy Family (SNAHF) and a recipient of an IBX Foundation scholarship, will be featured speakers at the event.

“What better way to shine the spotlight on our School of Nursing in its 50th year than to welcome back some of our most successful nursing alumni to speak to our current students and staff,” Holy Family University President Dr. Anne Prisco said.  “They are supremely qualified to speak to the challenges and rewards that the nursing profession provides, to provide history and perspective, and invaluable advice and encouragement to our students who are hoping to have careers as impactful as theirs.”

Facilitated by Vice Deans Dr. Jinsy Mathew, DNP, MSN, RN and Dr. Michelle Murphy-Rozanski, Ph. D., MSN, RN, CRNP,  the discussion for current staff and nursing students will focus on the current trends in the field, as well as the future of nursing, and will share the insights of a distinguished panel of nursing graduates including:
