The minor in Education is designed to provide students who are not seeking teacher certification the opportunity to explore the field of education through the study of educational theory and practice.
What Can I Do with this Minor?
The minor provides students with opportunities to pursue their professional aspirations, explore areas of personal interest, prepare for graduate study in education-related fields, and prepare for the roles of informed parents and citizens. This minor does not lead to teacher certification. Some of the specific job titles include:

Education, Pre K-12 Education, Certification in Art, B.A. UG
The Bachelor of Art in Pre K-12 Education with a Certification in Art combines theory and practice as students gain knowledge as future educators as well as preparation as art teacher. Holy Family graduates are well-prepared to practice in this specialty which fulfills the educational requirements for teacher certification in Pennsylvania.
Education, Concentration in Pre K-4/Special Education Pre K-12, B.A. UG
The Bachelor of Arts in Education with a concentration in Pre K-4/Special Education Pre K-12 enables students to become certified to teach all courses from Pre K-4 (nursery/age three) through fourth grade (age nine).
Early Childhood Education Pathway Program Pre K-4, B.S. UG
Are you a working professional in a Pre K-4 field? If so, your path to teacher certification just got easier! If you have an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education or have completed your first two years of a four-year Early Education program, we have a “pathway” to degree and certification completion designed to meet your needs.
