Exercise Science, B.S. — Course Requirements

Our curriculum prepares graduates to work with diverse populations and adapt to evolving industry needs. The program focuses on four core areas:

  • Foundational Knowledge in Exercise Science
  • Health Promotion and Disease Prevention
  • Exercise Testing and Prescription
  • Ethical and Professional Practices

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, exercise physiology, and motor learning
  2. Apply knowledge of exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle factors to promote health and prevent disease
  3. Design evidence-based exercise prescriptions for individuals of all ages, fitness levels, and health conditions
  4. Exhibit ethical behavior, professionalism, and effective communication in clinical, fitness, and sport settings

Degree Requirements: 120 total credits (54 required major credits, 12 restricted electives, 9 free electives, and 45 general education credits).
