Holy Family University Hosts Interfaith Prayer for Peace Service

Holy Family University faculty, students and staff of all faiths came together in prayer, music and private reflection during an Interfaith Prayer for Peace Service on the Northeast Philadelphia campus on October 13.

The service included prayers and readings, and attendees each received a strip of white fabric and were asked to offer a silent prayer for peace as they tied their fabric to form a collective display. The structure will be
moved outside of the entrance to the University’s chapel where visitors will be asked to contribute to the growing display as a reminder of unity and peace that is at the core of Holy Family University’s mission.

The event was organized by Vice President for Mission and Diversity Sister Rita Fanning, CSFN, and Director of Campus Ministry Jill Snyder.
