Holy Family University Marks the Feast of Blessed Stella and Her 10 Companions on the Anniversary of Their Martyrdom
The Holy Family University community joined the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth in prayer and celebration of the Feast of Blessed Stella and her 10 companions on September 4, 2023. The 11 Sisters were killed by Nazi soldiers in the summer of 1943, after serving the people of Nowogródek, a small village that was then part of occupied Poland. They were beatified in 2000.
The University joined in remembering the 11 Martyred Sisters on their feast day and continues to pray, through their intercession, for peace and healing in a world that faces the ongoing challenges of hatred, intolerance and violence.
