Two Holy Family Counseling Center Staff Members Among Presenters at ACCA National Conference

Holy Family University counselors Josue Martinez, MS, NCC, LPC and Diomarys Nunez, MA, LPC, PMH-C will share their presentation Ally vs. Accomplice: Integrating Cultural Humility on February 25, 2024, as part of the American College Counseling Association’s (ACCA) 2024 National Conference hosted in Orlando, FL.

The ACCA is made up of diverse mental health professionals from the fields of counseling, psychology, and social work, whose focus is largely within higher education in college counseling settings.


The presentation will discuss common misconceptions and mistakes that clinicians make when embarking on work with individuals of color and the importance of moving from being culturally competent to culturally humble so the systemic racism can be dismantled.
